OK, guys, I think I've got the last song for the ep figured out, at least part of it. I just have this one line that I really like:
"There's a party going on
when mom and dad are gone"
Do you think you can work with that? Maybe fill it out, add some more lyrics? I think it could be very cool. As for the music, just kind of do whatever you think fits the vibe. Does that sound good to you?
P.S. Is nobody excited about the new season of "NS"?? Nobody responded to my post, except dumb old Jamal!! What gives, people?

Sorry for being out of communication for the past week or so...I've been out of the country with no access to the internet!
Anyway, when I got back Jamal had worked out a good chord progression and some lyrics for this party goin' on song, so I helped him finish it up and it sounds pretty good. I think that it's great that you are giving us a little more creative licence. It's like a special little reward.
I have another question for you. Do you have any idea for how you want "Brass Tacks" to sound? What's your artistic vision for that one?

Hey, guys. Do you think that I should buy All In The Family Season 1 OR Bewitched Season 1?
My uncle, for XMAS, sent me a $25 gift card for Barnes & Noble, so I HAD to spend it RIGHT AWAY. I bought The Honneymooners AND All in the Family Season 1. I had to spend a little of my own money, but it was worth it.
The next time my "budget" allows, I'm totally buying Bewitched, though!

Hey, guys, I don't mean to be a wet blanket and all, but, seriously: this blog IS supposed to be 1) primarily about my poetry and writing projects (and yes, that has largely expanded into music lately, which, admittedly, you two have been surprisingly enthusiastic about and I appreciate it. When will it be done, do you think? I want to know when I can hear these demos. Can you give me a rough estimate?) and 2) secondarily about No Shame, but I feel like people are, with the break and everything, these days a little more interested in my poems and songs than in No Shame. But that will possibly change once the season really gets going full swing! And anyway I may well do these songs at the shows, so we'll just see what happens! But my point is, I want to create a friendly productive environment on this blog, and I tried to be a good guy and give Michael some honest, hopefully useful advice about his DVD's, but the real problem is: this is not the place to be discussing that sort of thing. So please don't. I should have said something right away, but I wanted to seem like a friendly sort of person, which I am. I just need for us to be very focused on this blog, and not get distracted by things that are just going to distract us from what's important! I'm so stressed right now! But I really look forward to hearing these songs. You got all my emails? We're clear on everything? What more do I, Adam Hahn, need to do to get this demo finished up?
Jamal'll correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I believe we've finished recording and just need YOU to sit back and wait for it to be finished up. I think there just needs to be mixing and stuff? That's JMan's department. He's the guy with the know how on what all needs to be done and how long it'll take.
It's just a matter of patience at this point.
How do you want to hear this? Do you want us to send you a copy to listen to and then add on your vocals? Here's an idea: we could print up a small number of CDs (10 or so?) and distribute them to associates and see what they think? Then, if you feel that it's worth the effort, you can put on your vocals. If you hate it, we can always scrap your lyrics and use the music for something else. I think the music is pretty good,though.
OK... I will try to calm down., It's just so WEIRD! I MADE a CD, but I haven't even HEARD it yet! WHEN WILL IT BE READY, JAMAL! I would like to hear it since I WROTE IT AND EVERYTHING! Ofr real, I don't mean to seem like a spazz. I've just been so STRESSED OUT about things! But I'd say, 1st things 1st: River, just notify me when the mixes are done and we complete from there. Adam, what type of info do you want in the linear notes? What will the track listing be? Might I suggest a very simple one, with the front being the cover and the back being the track listing, maybe the track lengths, and some other minimal info...like the address to this blog? What else?
Oh I don't know, Mivahel! You do whatever looks best! Just put "Words and music by Adam Hahn", performed by "people he knows", or however you want to be listed. Track lengths, up to you. I guess I though the track list was obvious, but maybe that's my mistake. It should definitely go like this:
